Service Learning OpportunitySeed Saving for the Patterson Seed Library.
Teach your students about full plant lifecycles, seed reproduction, the importance of biodiversity, and building community food equity through seed sharing. Over half of the DPHS garden plants were chosen to support community food equity through the Patterson Library's Seed Library. Stanislaus County UC Master Gardeners also offer educational support for adults and teachers to encourage families to grow near-free gardens full of fresh, healthy foods. Decide to visit the DPHS garden to harvest seeds, collect, and distribute them throughout the community. Our downloadable guides offer tips from the SeedSaver.org, seed labels, and DPHS Bloom and Propagation Calendar. All your tools are here. |
